Strategic Buyer (m/f/d)

After comprehensive training, you will take responsibility for the strategic purchasing of defined product groups. Working closely with product development and the relevant departments, you will ensure that the procurement strategy for production components is defined and that supplies are secured at the optimum price and quality level.

Your tasks

• Responsibility for defined product groups and the associated supplier portfolio
• Implementation of cost reduction and supplier development programs
• Contract negotiations with suppliers
• Periodic supplier evaluations and audits
• Market analysis and phase-in of new suppliers
• Regular exchange with other departments to correctly define the right requirements for existing and future suppliers
• Reporting and monitoring of KPIs and associated system maintenance
• Identification of procurement risks and definition of appropriate measures

Education

• Completed training in a technical or commercial field
• Several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing of technical products in an international environment
• Process experience along the value chain in a manufacturing environment
• Independent and structured way of working as well as team spirit
• Flexibility, resilience, and problem-solving skills
• Very good German and English skills
• Very good MS Office and ERP system skills (SAP preferred)
