Senior Automation Engineer (m/f/d)

Your tasks

• Management of automation projects from concept to implementation
• Serving as the responsible point of contact for automation technology in customer meetings to ensure technical alignment
• Development and implementation of automation strategies and solutions for the product portfolio
• Creation of PLC, SCADA, and HMI programs for automated systems
• Maintenance and administration of the automation system architecture (e.g., TIA Portal, SCADA platforms)
• Responsibility for programming and qualification of automation, visualization, and process control systems
• Ensuring version control, documentation, and lifecycle management of automation systems
• Optimization of workflows to reduce cycle times and improve throughput
• Support and mentoring of junior engineers
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations

Education

• Completed training in the field of automation technology, electrical engineering or mechatronics
• Professional experience in mechanical or plant engineering or in automation
• Sound knowledge of an automation system, ideally experience with Delta V
• Very good knowledge of German and English
• Independent and proactive way of working with a hands-on mentality
• Strong problem solving skills and analytical thinking
